TDM #2 · Dam Motel #2 Quality King with Kitchenette

Disappointing Positive: It was clean with quaint, honey amenities. Negative: The mattress was a soft spring mattress and created back problems for my husband. The bedspread had a huge spot on it and didn’t look clean. The air conditioner worked but was not in good repair so we couldn’t adjust fan speed to manage the volume. The noise it made kept us up all night. Some of the controls couldn’t be managed from either direct contact with the unit or with the remote. The remote had no batteries in it when we got there and the room was 64 degrees and freezing. We had to go to the “office” to get batteries. My husband was greeted with, “What’s the problem?”, and the employee was brusque and rude. There were already other people in the office requesting assistance and she was frustrated. The physical plant of the facility was OLD. That’s not a problem when there are signs that it’s being upgraded or modernized to compare with modern motel rooms. There were no floor coverings in the unit. The air conditioner was noisy and functioned poorly. I expected it may be an older property but that it would still be a pleasant stay because it was clean and nicely appointed, etc. It WAS clean and the kitchen appliances worked. But I would not return there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Positive: A pleasant surprise

I loved it. I’d definitely go back Positive: I like everything, from the room to the location to the check-in process Negative: Just the linen and towels - I prefer them in white in hotels/motels

Clean, cozy, friendly place Positive: Really old building really sketchy neighborhood. But the inside was very nice newly remodeled every amenity you could ask for. The staff was amazing. Absolutely a great deal for the money. I would stay there again. Negative: Just the location it was easy to get to. It was just a very sketchy neighborhood, but they really can’t complain for the price
